Welcome to our Website
2nd Chailey Scout Group was founded over 30 years ago to offer the young people who attend Chailey Heritage School an opportunity to be a part of the Scout Association. Our Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers meet together every Thursday where they get involved in all sorts of activities they might otherwise not get a chance to do. Meetings include orienteering and bivvy building, as well as maypole dancing, and building and racing our own air rockets. We also love to have visitors, including other Scout groups join us on a Thursday so if you know anyone who like to join us for a sausage sizzle in the summer, or any other event, we'd love to hear from you!
Each summer, our Scouts spend a week under canvas, and enjoy all the things that come with being part of the Scouting family; getting involved in activities like go-karting, parascending, and abseiling; a chance to interact with able-bodied Scouts sometimes from all over the world! In 2006, 2nd Chailey Scouts camped at the East Sussex Martletts Jamboree where we paraded with Scouts from all over the county, carrying our troop colours and joining together with Scouts across the globe in the Scout Centenary Celebrations.
